who is in?
“It’s just not like you. And the fact you did it for me… Out of all people.” Brett shook his head as the girl rolled her eyes and he looked away completely until he was spoken to again. “Yeah but it’s not like I’m a special guy. I’ve like known you most of your life and you still aren’t comfortable around me? I don’t care really, You can suffer while wearing that.” The boy shrugged his shoulders and moved over once she sat down on the couch. He didn’t want to be close with her for one reason only, he didn’t want anything to happen between them. He’d actually be more than content to get her sick because it meant that he wouldn’t have to hear her moan over absolutely everything every single day and it would be nice to have an Olivia free day. But it was his own fault for inviting her over anyway. “Because none of the movies will be as good as the original. And the only good thing about this movie is the graphics and Emma Stone. So I don’t really care about the rest of it.” The boy stated, clicking “Play” once the DVD menu had shown up. “I just change from being super warm… And from being cold but I already told you that I’m sick. Before you even came here I was lying in bed with a pair of shorts on and I was constantly changing between hiding under the blankets and having no blankets at all.”
“You just said yourself how long I’ve known you, I thought it was time i did something nice for you because well it’s really entertaining seeing peoples expresssions when I try and so something nice for them.” She laughed tossing her lucious red hair over her shoulders. “So it wasn’t a gesture entirely of kindness but you get the idea.” She shooed away the conversation with her hand, as if she was shooing away a fly. Olivia looked over at Brett for a second, then back to the screen debating whether risking catching whatever Brett had was worth do something that would piss off little J more than the fact that she was here watching a movie with Brett. She was still debating when Brett started going off about how the originals were always better or whatever she wasn’t really paying attention. Olivia scanned the room as she made up her mind, she nestled herself into the couch placing her head on the arm rest and lying on her side, feet curled up toward her. “Brett mind putting on the subtitles, I have to have the subtitles on when I watch a movie or else I get really pissed if I can’t make out what someone is saying in the middle of the movie.” She pulled the blanket over her body and smirked at him “Brett it’s me you’re talking about! I’m always comfortable in a dress!”
I’m getting bored of this shithole.
About time, someone fucking said something! I am so there with you on that one Lake!
Groaning as he heard the two knocks in his door, he furrowed his eyebrow. “I said just walk in..” He mumbled and sat up, hugging his knees towards himself as he sighed. ”Thanks Olivia. But I don’t think I want anything else..” He replied, nodding at the smile on her face. He was convinced that it was fake. It was pretty weird that she agreed to come over anyway and he knew she was only doing it to get under Jeisel’s skin. He knew if she found out that Olivia was here that shit would go down and he wouldn’t hear the end of it. “Dude, what the heck are you wearing?” He questioned, his eyes narrowing as the girl was wearing a dress. “Seriously. Even though you’re all girly and shit, I expected you to come in like.. sweats or something.” He shook his head lightly and let it fall back to stare up at the ceiling. As he was pulled into a hug, he pulled away quickly and sighed. “I don’t want to get you sick..” He spoke quietly, glancing between her and the things she had got him on the tray. “What’s the catch?” He asked, his eyebrow rising as he pointed between the soup, Tylenol and herself. ”You’re never this nice.. Did you tell daddy a sweet lie to get your money back?” He smirked slightly, looking down at the ground.
“Jesus Christ, Is it really that impossible for me to do something nice? It’s rare but completely possible, don’t question it!” she rolled her eyes as she smoothed out her dress. “Puhlease Brett, Me in sweats around you? Uh, no. We are not that close, hun” Olivia laughed as she plopped herself down on the couch after sliding the dvd into the dvd player and handing Brett the remote. “Okay so I heard it’s not as good as the ones with Tobey Maguire but Andrew Garfield is hot, and so is Emma Stone for that matter!” Olivia slipped her legs underneath and pulled the blanket that was folded on top of the couch. “How are you not freezing right now, Brett? It’s so cold in here! What are you a damn polar bear?”
Honestly, Brett didn’t know how to feel. It was both physical and emotional pain. His head and chest were hurting him terribly but he wouldn’t admit that to anybody at all. It was easier to just hide the pain and put a brave face on like he did almost every single day of his life. And then the emotional pain seemed to be killing him inside even more. Having seen Jeisel walk out their hotel room door sort of made him feel worse because he knew he couldn’t just get up and follow her out because he was sick and he’d get much worse if he done that. But it was sort of just on his mind, wondering why he hadn’t done that otherwise his last resolution wouldn’t be hanging out with Olivia. Sure he was friends with the girl but he knew deep down that she was only interacting with him so much because of the hatred between herself and Jeisel. And of course, Brett didn’t want to get into any of that because he’d make it much worse. He always stepped in when it got too much though and he knew Jeisel was only being protective of him most of the time. He hated seeing the pair fight all of the time but he just thought that there had to be a logical reason for it all. But apparently the two just despised each other so much that they felt the need to argue every single time they saw each other. It was entertaining but he didn’t like watching it all.
Smiling down at his phone as Spiderman was mentioned, he let his head fall back against his pillow again before he felt the need to text her. -Hey. Just walk on in. The door should be open and I have no strength to walk out to open it.- He texted quickly before he dropped his phone onto the bed and sighed as he rolled over onto his side. He honestly felt like putting a pair of shoes on to look for Jeisel. He just wanted to apologise for how much of a dick he was being but he couldn’t help it. When he was sick, he got irritated easily by the simplest things. Brett was being super stubborn with her but it wasn’t like he could help himself. Everyone knew he was like that and he was never going to change. Stretching slowly as he sat up again, he climbed out of the bed to search for a new shirt and decided to change into his shorts too. It wasn’t a big change for him considering how the boy had been lying in bed all day long but he felt the need to run about and move despite his headache. Rubbing his forehead as he played with the hem of his shirt, he waited impatiently for the girl to arrive. “Any time of the day, Olivia..”
Honestly, she was excited to hang out with Brett again, okay so they weren’t close but he had been a good friend to her. That was the reason that despite his choice of friends and girlfriend Olivia chose to keep him a part of her life. That and it pissed the hell out of Jeisel, which was always entertaining to watch. There was a lot of things about Jeisel that didn’t sit right with Liv, but the main one is Jeisel had the nerve to act to treat her like a nobody. That was unacceptable, and she has just been asking to be put in her place ever since. Olivia looked at the text from Brett before tossing her phone on the bed. She was deciding on a low high summer dress or shorts and a blouse. Leave it to Olivia, to have to look classy just for a movie with Brett. After deciding on the summer dress, she straighten her velvet red locks and dabbed on a classy touch of make up. Just enough, so she looked radiant, and not like a corner working hooker. She grabbed her tote, dropping the Spiderman dvd case in it, along with her phone and make up bag.
As she finished slipping on her jimmy choos, she heard a knock on her door. She walked over to answer it and smiled as the waiter handed her a plate of soup with some tylenol on the side and a tall glass of water. She handed him the amount due, then headed upstairs to where she guessed Brett laid miserably on the couch. She saw this as kind gesture, a rare one from Olivia but it wasn’t impossible for her to be nice. She just chose to be prissy and above everyone because she was more comfortable that way, and in a way it was the perfect way to guard herself from getting hurt. She knocked on Bretts door twice, before she walked in seeing on the couch looking quite awful. “Hey Brett, I brought you soup though you might need the energy and some tylenol for your headache. Oh, of course I brought Spiderman!” she smiled setting the tray on the coffee table in front of them, before embracing Brett in a small hug.
